Anna Steg is the surviving fiancée of Benjamin Hines and the love of his life. After swiping right on Benjamin back in 2015, the two went on their first date and were inseparable ever since. Ben proposed on May 30th, 2018 at Bluemont Vineyard, only a week before he was set for deployment. The pair had planned on getting married on October 12, 2019 in Leesburg, Virginia. After Ben was tragically KIA, Anna knew she wanted to help carry on his legacy and assist other families of the fallen and in the military/LEO community. Co-founding The Ben Hines Memorial Foundation seemed like the perfect way to honor Ben, while supporting those who share Ben’s passions of Family, Patriotism, Faith, & Education. Aside from Anna’s love story & dedication to Ben, she works as a government contractor for Counter Threat Solutions in Northern Virginia. She is a former collegiate athlete, having earned her BSBA from Longwood University in Farmville, VA. Anna enjoys working out, visiting wineries & breweries, traveling, hiking, spending time with friends and family & running in her spare time. She will be running her first Marine Corps Marathon this coming October in honor of Ben & the foundation. Anna currently resides in Leesburg, VA with her pup Mattis, who Ben & Anna were planning on getting together one day. And yes, he is named after one of Ben’s idols, General Mattis. Anna looks forward to seeing what the future has in store for her and knows that Ben will be with her every step of the way.
